The G Hotel is first on my list. I heard so much about its luxurious afternoon tea experience that I can’t but go there.
When I entered the hotel I already knew it was different from the rest cafes/hotels I ever visited. Just by looking at the interior, furniture, and lighting, I know that’s for sure. The decor was modern with a traditional touch, with soft lighting and organised furniture the overall impression was great.
I sat by a large window looking at the beautiful landscape outside and ordered their signature afternoon tea. The selection was impressive, from traditional black tea to lighter, floral blends. I chose a pot of Earl Grey, a classic tea with a delicate hint of bergamot.
Tea, along with sandwiches, warm scones, and pastries, arrived. The scones were freshly baked. However, the very first bite for me was enough. The indescribable texture together with the dense cream and the sweet jam was simply heaven-sent.
They also offer a cappuccino that pairs beautifully with their pastries. The experience at the G Hotel was worth memorable.
The House Hotel – Afternoon Tea With a Difference
As I made my way to The House Hotel, I was very curious about what this unusual and modern place would offer. The hotel itself is bright in color and atmosphere, fun and casual in style. The House is, therefore, very convenient and enjoyable for those who cherish new interpretations of old customs.
The Afternoon Tea menu is as fun to look at as the decor. I chose their “room blend” tea. It’s a kind of black tea with little bits of lemon in it. It was a good compromise for those who wanted something sweet but strong.
The hunger was satisfied with just as much pleasure. I should say it was like afternoon tea but modernized, and I enjoyed each one of their items. The confections, too, were just as creative. mini cheesecakes, cheesecakes with chocolate truffles, and milkshakes all of them were pretty delicious.
The Ardilaun Hotel – A Hidden Gem
My next stop was The Ardilaun Hotel, a place I hadn’t heard much about but had stumbled upon during my research. This hidden gem is for anyone seeking a more peaceful, intimate afternoon tea experience.
As I entered the tea room, I was greeted with a warm smile, which I actually like because, you know, a smile can heal anyone both inside and out. The Ardilaun offers a more traditional afternoon tea but with a twist. Instead of the typical black tea, I decided to try their green tea with jasmine, which was light and refreshing.
The tea was served in a lovely, beautiful teapot with matching cups, and I couldn’t help but admire the attention to detail. The food came shortly after, and I was pleasantly surprised by the variety of options. Hospitality, food quality, and taste made this tea time unforgettable.
